by Pastor Ritchie on Feb.26, 2010, under Avalon Church
Kim and I are back home. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday. You had better be there too or I am going to come by your house and pour cold water on you! We will show some pics and will talk about our future plans. I will also start a new series called “Fish Tales.” See you there!

Meet Asizwe
by Pastor Ritchie on Feb.23, 2010, under HOPE
Little Asizwe was abandoned and left at a bar by his HIV positive mother. Child Services contacted Bob Graham and they were able to get him to the children’s village. He has no idea how much you have changed his life and his future.

by Pastor Ritchie on Feb.20, 2010, under HOPE
Sfundo McHunu was also being raised by his nine year old sister. His name means “learning.” He will be able to fulfill the meaning of his name because people cared enough to give. He loves to have his picture taken.

Meet Busi
by Pastor Ritchie on Feb.19, 2010, under HOPE
Sibusisiwe Zulu, or “Busi,” means “bless.” She and Tshwarelo were the first children at the children’s village and she is a wonderful child. The Bible says that God blesses us so that we can bless others. Think about how your blessing has turned into a blessing for others. Busi…blessing…amazing.

Meet Kosi
by Pastor Ritchie on Feb.18, 2010, under HOPE
Khumbulani McHunu, also known as Kosi which means “king” or “chief”, was being raised by his nine year old sister. His father died of HIV related illness and his mother abandoned him. He is now in school, goes to church every week to learn about Jesus, and has a full belly. There is one thing about him, though. He is afraid of dogs. He never takes his eyes off them when they are around. I think “king” is a great name for him. I predict that he will accomplish great things because somebody cared enough to make a difference.
