From The Founder
Having grown up in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, I have seen firsthand the devastating effects that poverty can have on people. I did not know that my background would have such a profound effect on what I have been called to do with my life.
As a pastor and speaker, I have traveled all across the world and witnessed the appalling effects of poverty, disease, and poor education. I knew that I could not do very much about it alone, but that with many people pulling together, we could make a difference. We may not change the whole world, but we can change someone’s world. It is for these people that we exist as an organization.
I want to thank you for your interest in Avalon HOPE. With your help, we can make a difference for so many. Together, we can offer a new beginning for children, families, and communities at home and around the world. You can give on our website and start making a difference right now.
