We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won't need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining - they just shine. Dwight L. Moody
Jesus Christ is the only hope this world has. The most outrageous act of love the world has ever known – Christ’s death on a cross and his sin-conquering resurrection – offers true hope for all humanity. But the Good News is only good news when people hear it.
This Easter you can give hope to people in need of good news. But you must take action and trust God for the outcome.
What size is your faith? Do you believe only in what you can see and what you can do? Or do you believe that God is able to exceed all your abilities? Seeing God do great things in your church begins with faith. We must believe that God is able!
I want to challenge you to believe that God wants to do something great through you this Easter. Nothing great happens without preparation. God is a God of planning and preparation. The entire universe is a testimony to this. You can get involved and let your light shine by doing a few things.
1. Pray. We start by asking God to work. Pray like it all depends on God but put actions to your prayers. Pray for people to be saved.
2. Invite. You know someone you can invite to a service. Keep on asking until someone says yes.
3. Serve. Studies show that four people attend for every one person who serves. You can make a difference by serving on Easter weekend!
4. Give. Ministry takes money and you can make a huge impact by giving faithfully and regularly. How much ministry can be done for $100? About $100 worth!
I hope you will have a God-sized vision and allow God to use you to bring hope to people around you this Easter. You can make a difference! Celebrate the resurrection by inviting others to the celebration.
